Board of Directors
The Board of Directors, whose membership includes the Head of School, provides governance for the Country Day School. The Board carries the overall and ultimate responsibility for the school's management, policies, and perpetuation. It hires and evaluates the Head of School, who is responsible for the daily operations and the implementation of Board policies.
The Board has adopted the National Association of Independent School's Principles of Good Practice. The Board's responsibilities include:
Adopting clear mission, vision, and strategic goals for the school;
Ensuring the school's long-term financial health;
Establishing policy that supports the strategic goals;
Perpetuating the School's mission, keeping in mind its unique history and tradition.
Together as a team, the Board of Directors and the Head of School work to maintain the vision for the School, consistent with its mission, and to approve, develop, and implement strategic plans.
The Board consists of nine (9) members, with no less than three (3) who shall be parents.
The Executive Committee of the Board that consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
All directors and elected officers have full voting rights, except the Head of School.
New directors are nominated and elected at the annual corporation meeting.
The names of the directors and officers of the Board are published in the Country Day School Handbook every year.

Administrative Office for review and copy during regular business hours by all Corporation
members who are in good standing.
